The Syndicate seeks a dynamic executive to drive company growth through the acquisition of new clients and development of creative marketing campaigns.

This person will be a key driver of discovering, prospecting, pitching and closing new business. Working with the marketing team, this person will develop unique creative ideas and solutions for entertainment clients within the experiential marketing space and beyond.

The candidate will also play a key role in agency initiatives, including responsibility for improvements to the company marketing and sales materials to support ongoing growth and innovation.

This person must be comfortable with storytelling, strategizing and answering business needs, with an eye towards superb client service, innovation, teamwork and collaboration. Strong networking skills and existing relationships in the entertainment industry are required, as well as experience attending industry conferences and networking events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Discover, prospect, pitch, and close new business

  • Develop content-tailored responses to RFPs

  • Leverage consumer insights, competitive data and market research to develop comprehensive marketing plans for clients

  • Lead and oversee a team of marketing professionals

  • Manage clients relationships and project deliverables

  • Regularly attend events and conferences to support existing clients and identify new opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience - a combination of sales/business development, experiential, brand, and events

  • Passion for pop-culture and entertainment, including music, TV, film and comedy

  • Sales leadership experience with a proven ability to improve and help grow revenue

  • Established relationships with prospective clients

  • Superior presentation skills at the executive level, great communication and interpersonal skills

  • Balance of creative and analytical thinking

MARKETING/PROJECT MANAGER

The Syndicate seeks a Marketing/Project Manager to join our agency. This person will act as the lead manager on marketing campaigns for a diverse range of clients in the entertainment industry and beyond. They will be responsible for coordinating and executing plans with a focus on event strategy, production, and activations.

The Marketing/Project Manager will serve as the main point of contact and communication lead and  will be accountable for successful management of assigned projects, while making sure all deliverables are on time & within budget.

Our ideal candidate will be a positive, natural leader with a passion for music/comedy, events, and collaboration. They must be extremely detail-oriented and have a fierce go-getter attitude. This is a unique role which requires creativity and organization, with equal attention paid to both the fine print and the big picture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple projects with unified oversight, ensuring transparency to key stakeholders, and driving successful results.

  • Prioritize project work and delegate responsibilities to corresponding team members

  • Drive team communication, both within core team and to management / leadership team

  • Oversee development, creative design, logistics and execution of large and small-scale events

  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, collateral, meetings, and staffing plans

  • Supervise event production on-site, including setup, execution, and breakdown

  • Manage client relationships and proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of project management experience, in-house or with an agency

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Passion for pop-culture and entertainment, including music, TV, film and comedy

  • Project management and leadership experience

  • Strong time management skills

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written)

  • Adaptability to work both as a part of a team and independently

PUBLIC RELATIONS

The Syndicate is expanding its PR department and seeks an energetic and extremely motivated professional to join our team. The Publicist/Account Manager will work full-time in our Weehawken, NJ office and run music, comedy and lifestyle campaigns. Our ideal candidate is a team player that brings something new to the table, has excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to prioritize while multi-tasking. Applicants should be very detail-oriented, organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. This individual must have a strong passion for the entertainment and pop culture (music in particular) and be able to professionally communicate with clients, journalists and other industry professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of PR and publicity experience in the Entertainment/Music industry

  • Strong knowledge of entertainment and lifestyle media; print, online, broadcast and influencers

  • Enjoyment of a fast-paced work environment and desire to attend client events, concerts, etc - evening & weekend hours as necessary

  • Proactive and outgoing with a get-it-done attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing and executing multiple accounts and campaign, securing coverage in regional and national media outlets

RADIO PROMOTION

The Syndicate is currently seeking a new employee eager to help expand our award-winning radio department! We're looking for a Radio Promoter who is ready to step into our fast-paced environment and keep us performing at the highest level. This person will be an integral member of our team and will work collaboratively with our college, alternative, non-comm, and loud rock promotion staff. This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about radio promotion and artist development.

MARKETING INTERN

The Syndicate is an independent entertainment marketing agency based in Weehawken, New Jersey. We offer a wide range of marketing and promotional services within the music, comedy and publishing sectors, including radio promotion, street marketing, publicity, event planning, and digital design. Additionally, The Syndicate operates two online properties: www.metalinsider.net, which features metal music news and analysis, as well as www.thelaughbutton.com, for all things comedy.

Each semester The Syndicate recruits qualified, eager candidates to join our competitive and dynamic internship program. This position offers students the opportunity to gain real-world working experience, as well as exposure to the many facets of the entertainment industry.

As we are primarily a marketing and promotion firm, candidates with excellent writing, communication and digital design skills are strongly encouraged to apply. Interns will receive a $15/day travel stipend.

The Syndicate is seeking knowledgeable and passionate Digital Marketing students to join our team. Digital Marketing Interns will get an in-depth look at marketing campaigns and strategies and how to implement them into the digital space. This position includes but is not limited to social media strategy, community management, research, help with brand partnerships, and more. This internship will expand digital knowledge within the entertainment landscape and provide new experiences and pieces to add to the student’s repertoire. Interns will receive a $15/day travel stipend.

 

REQUIREMENTS: ­

  • Must have strong interest in music, comedy, entertainment, lifestyle trends, and pop-culture

  • Must be able to earn college credit

  • Must be able to commit to being in the office from 10am-6pm, at least 2-5 days per week

  • Self-motivated with a digital brain

  • Working knowledge of social media platforms - Facebook, Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Ability to multi-task and take direction in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to navigate the internet for research purposes

  • Design skills and solid knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator, /Indesign.

  • Solid video editing skills

  • Bonus knowledge: Google AdWords, website building skills, HTML, etc

The Digital Design Intern will work side­ by­ side with staff members across various departments and will take the lead with the brainstorming, strategy and execution of the company’s graphic design and marketing needs. This internship offers experience in a professional workplace and will equip the student with exceptional, original pieces to add to their portfolio. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about the digital space and wants to apply their knowledge to the entertainment marketing realm. REQUIREMENTS: ­

  • Must be enrolled in college and able to receive credit for internship hours ­
