The Syndicate is currently seeking qualified graphic design students for our competitive Internship Program. The Digital Design Intern will work side-by-side with staff members across various departments and will take the lead with the brainstorming, strategy and execution of the company’s graphic design and marketing needs. This internship offers experience in a professional workplace and will equip the student with exceptional, original pieces to add to their portfolio. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about the digital space and wants to apply their knowledge to the entertainment marketing realm. The internship is unpaid, but interns will receive a $15/day travel stipend.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Design web and print marketing assets, including logos, posters, stickers, banners, specialty advertising, website graphics, etc.

- Help brainstorm creative digital pitches for clients

- Take part in multiple rounds of editing on any given project

- Maintain good attendance and punctuality

- Assist in day-to-day office duties


- Must be enrolled in college and able to receive credit for internship hours

- Must be able to commit to being in the office 2-3 days per week from 10am-6pm

- A passion for music, entertainment, and pop-culture is paramount

- Working knowledge of current social media platforms

- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – specifically Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

- Superior attention to detail

- Capable of working on multiple design projects at a given time

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The Syndicate is growing its company with the addition of a full-time Director of Publicity.  The position will represent our agency’s clients in the entertainment and lifestyle brand spaces as well as directly manage the expanding PR department. The ideal candidate should have experience managing a team in addition to an excellent working knowledge of pop culture and the ability to effectively discuss current music, comedy and lifestyle trends. The candidate should be a strong communicator with superb writing skills. The position requires one to be meticulously confident while pitching to a variety of media outlets including web, print, television and social networks.


  • Manage press campaigns and strategy with clients and talent
  • Directly oversee daily management of PR department
  • Pitch and secure interviews, special features and event listings in regional, national and major market outlets
  • Write and deliver press releases with thorough follow-through to maximize coverage
  • Provide ongoing updates and weekly press reports to clients detailing campaign status and achievements
  • Maintain and foster relationships with national media outlets, editors and writers
  • Work with other departments to cross-promote and market projects
  • Pursue and manage future sales opportunities

Required traits and skills:

Title Freelance Web Application Developer/Designer

The Syndicate is a marketing and promotion agency that creates unique web applications for our clients. Past projects have included embeddable widgets, media-enabled ads, brand-integrated platforms based on social engagement, soundboards and other creative online assets. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to see a project through from its initial conceptual stage to live deployment. What the end user sees on the screen is as important as the functionality within the development. You will collaborate with our in-house marketing staff to insure each project’s success.  We are a medium-sized firm that thrives on working through new challenges for our music, comedy and book publishing clients. We offer a wide range of marketing and promotional services within the music, comedy and publishing sectors, including radio promotion, street marketing, publicity, event planning, and digital design. Additionally, The Syndicate operates two online properties:, which features metal music news and analysis, as well as  – for all things comedy.

Each semester The Syndicate recruits qualified, eager candidates to join our dynamic internship program. This position offers students the opportunity to gain real-world working experience, as well as exposure to the many facets of the entertainment industry.

As we are primarily a marketing and promotion firm, candidates with excellent writing, communication and digital design skills are strongly encouraged to apply. The internship is unpaid, but interns will receive a $15/day travel stipend.
