Job: Marketing & Design Interns

The Syndicate (www.thesyn.com) is currently hiring marketing and graphic design interns for the spring and summer semesters.  The Syndicate is an independent company based in Weehawken, New Jersey, offering a vast range of marketing services to the music and entertainment industries.

In addition to services such as radio promotion, street marketing, publicity and digital design, The Syndicate operates www.metalinsider.net and www.thelaughbutton.com. All applicants must be able to earn college credit. A strong interest in music, entertainment, lifestyle trends and pop culture is a plus.

The internship is unpaid, but interns will receive a $15 per day reimbursement to cover travel and other expenses.

Each position requires the applicant to be in the office for at least 2-3 days per week, from 10am-6pm. (We can be flexible if necessary to work around class schedules.) We offer concentrations in the following areas:

• Marketing
• Publicity and public relations
• Radio promotion (College, Alternative & Loud Rock)
• Digital Design and programming

Applicants should have:

• A background or keen interest in music, entertainment, lifestyle trends and pop culture
• Ability to multi-task and take direction in a very fast-paced environment
• Very strong organizational skills
• Ability to navigate the internet for research purposes
• Solid working knowledge of current social media platforms
• Strong writing skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Photoshop. Any other computer skills are helpful.
