Ahh, Bonnaroo. The music festival that’s home to a history of stellar musicians and comedians, the hot Tennessee sun, an overwhelming feeling of love and friendship – and it all takes place on a giant farm. Our very own Claire, Graham, and Kaity took the Bonnaroo challenge and camped out last weekend while taking in amazing performances from acts such as The Temper Trap, Santigold, K. Flay, The Lonely Forest, Aziz Ansari, Childish Gambino, Art Vs Science, Doug Benson, and Graham’s personal favorite, Radiohead!
Now that these 3 have had a week to recover from their musical camping adventure, they want to tell you all about it! Here are some photos from their trip (including 3 different photos of Waffle House. What can we say, we love a good WH!):
The Lonely Forest provided one of the Thursday highlights, rocking through songs from their latest Arrows.
Claire and Kaity explored the grounds of Bonnaroo (while sporting some pretty sweet hats!)
The Bonnaroo Experience included some great comedy!
The Comedy Tent (where Comedy Central Presents did some fantastic tapings, and also boasted performances from Aziz Ansari and Colin Hay) had the longest lines all weekend. With great comics and an air conditioned tent, it was definitely the place to be!
The Movie Interruption for Crank 2:High Voltage included
Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, and Marc Maron. We sadly missed Kristen’s meeting with Merengue Dog.
We gotta eat, ya know? Bonnaroo had some pretty sweet food vendors – “veggie” corn dogs included!
And what’s a festival in the South without a good crawfish boil?!
Our view at the What Stage for acts like Temper Trap, Santigold, The Avett Brothers, The Roots,
and headliners Radiohead, Phish, and Red Hot Chili Peppers!
Bon Iver was “WOW!”
Graham’s view of the Red Hot Chili Peppers was a little different… and TOTALLY AWESOME!
Another shot from Graham’s view of RHCP – Flea’s handstand!
You should have seen these sunsets…
Jim from Art Vs Science got his chugging AND his riffing on at the same time during the band’s third set of the day.
