Tens of thousands of eager tech, film and music fans descended upon Austin, TX for this year’s South by Southwest Festival. With hundreds of different opportunities to explore on any given day, how do you grab their attention for your product, event or brand?
Our solution was to activate a 30-person crew from our national grassroots marketing team. Their mission: to canvass the streets, distribute materials hand-to-hand and promote artists and events via word-of-mouth. Not only did we promote two of The Syndicate’s own branded events, Conflict of Interest and The Laugh Button Live!, but we also had the great fortune to promote the mtvU Woodies Awards 2012 Festival, Comedy Central’s Workaholics House Party, all SXSW Comedy programming, Hype Machine’s Hype Hotel presented by Taco Bell’s Feed the Beat, Planet Québec as well as new releases from Electric Touch, Doug Stanhope, Chuck Ragan & Anti-Flag.
